CityShoppingPoint.com was founded in 2010 based on the premise that local businesses had very little chance to compete with national advertisers for consumer attention. The project was suspended in 2012 after its founder had to divert focus on personal matters, but the domain name was never abandoned or sold to other party. In early 2017 CityShoppingPoint was revived with new concept and features, still with local businesses and consumers in mind.

For Business

CityShoppingPoint provides small, independent businesses an opportunity to reach, local consumer audience through enhanced business profile page. Business could display advertising, videos and more on directory section. CityShoppingPoint provides its directory content to users in a hyper-local context, that is, neighborhoods and other relevant (category-based) localities.

Further, CityShoppingPoint provides writing section (similar to blog platform) for businesses. This writing section is also content-rich, which improve consumer knowledge and engagement regarding products and services. Businesses use this section to write appealing materials regarding product knowledge, howtos, etc.
